Reclaimed Means Business is...
...THE event that brings together business owners and creatives to learn from each other. You will have FULL access to inspiring talks and entertainment throughout the day, a lively exhibition area and delicious refreshments. All that will be topped off with a full burlesque and cabaret show in the evening!
It is our belief that business owners of any capacity can learn from the tenacity, values and creativity of some of the best performers in the UK, and that similarly performers can learn from the strategy, knowledge and money mindset of business owners!
Meet Your Producers...
Lindsay and Tommy are a dynamic duo and partners in real life, who focus on creating safe spaces within burlesque and cabaret, and now business!
They are also founders of The Binder Project which buys binders from those in the community and re-gifts them to people who need them. Meaning that the trans and gender non-conforming community are paid for their binders AND have access to free ones.
Lindsay (she/her) has nearly ten years of experience in events, namely burlesque and cabaret, and stage manages for some of the biggest UK Business Events.
Tommy (he/him) owns Thiirteen Tee's, which creates Queer affirming tees, totes and prints. As well as being a speaker and activist.
So, why mix business and burlesque?
We know that in creative spaces, connections and collaborations happen at a noteable pace.
This inclusive and safe environment will allow you to unmask and be yourself.
Performance and creativity inspire people to new and innovative ideas and thoughts.
Reclaimed Means Business is a queer and trans-owned event, which means you will be in a space that will not tolerate any form of racism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, ablism, sexism, classism or ageism.

What are the timings and location of the event?
Reclaimed Means Business will start at 10am on Thursday 10th October (doors open to the exhibition area from 9:30am for mingling), there will be two comfort breaks and an hour for lunch. The event will finish at 5pm. The show will run from 6pm - 7:30pm. There will be mix and mingle time until 8:15pm and the doors will close at 8:30pm. It is being held at the Magna Science Adventure Centre, Magna Way, Templeborough, Rotherham, S60 1FD.
What refreshments will be available?
Refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the day. There will be a bottle bar in the evening and light snacks available to order.

What if I have additional needs or specific dietary requirements?
Don't worry, we will ask you those questions when you purchase your ticket and will make all the necessary arrangements to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable day. Everyone is welcome at our event and we will do our best to ensure your needs are met.
