Why Reclaimed Means Business exists

 

When Lindsay McGlone created Reclaimed Means Business, she didn’t want to host just another event. She was hell-bent on starting a movement - a space where creativity and strategy collide, and everyone shows up exactly as they are.

 

The idea sparked on a car ride home from one of her burlesque and cabaret shows. After witnessing the electric energy, unfiltered self-expression, and instant camaraderie of the crowd, she thought, “why can’t business events feel like this?”

 

Lindsay knew she wanted to create something bold, something that flipped the script on boring, cookie-cutter conferences. 

 

And with Reclaimed Means Business, that’s exactly what she’s done.

  • What are the timings and location of the event?

    Reclaimed Means Business will start at 10am on Thursday 9th October (doors open to the exhibition area from 9:30am for mingling), there will be two comfort breaks and an hour for lunch. The event will finish at 5pm. The show will run from 6pm - 7:30pm. There will be mix and mingle time until 8:15pm and the doors will close at 8:30pm.  It is being held at the Magna Science Adventure Centre, Magna Way, Templeborough, Rotherham, S60 1FD.

  • What refreshments will be available?

    Refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the day. There will be a bottle bar in the evening and light snacks available to order. 

  • Are there any hotels nearby?

    There is a Premier Inn 1.5 miles away - here. Or a Travel Lodge 1.8 miles away - here. There are also a range of other independent hotels within a 5 mile radius.  

  • Is there parking at the venue? 

    There is free parking at the venue (lots and lots of it!) and you can find out more about getting there on their website: Visit Magna

  • What if I have additional needs or specific dietary requirements? 

    Don't worry, we will ask you those questions when you purchase your ticket and will make all the necessary arrangements to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable day. Everyone is welcome at our event and we will do our best to ensure your needs are met.
